The garden produce really stood out at breakfast and dinner, and the fresh eggs from the henhouse were a lovely extra. We stayed in a guest room for two nights and loved the welcome, the nearby scenery, and the location. There’s an orchard, a river, a vegetable garden, old trees, and both indoor and outdoor pools. Everything seemed geared toward making the stay enjoyable. We’d happily come back.

Jacques and Claire made us feel at home straight away. They’re warm, engaging hosts, and the meals were delicious and inventive, made with fresh ingredients from the garden and nearby area. The place is peaceful and beautiful, with a river, a big meadow, and indoor and outdoor pools. The 1970s-style house is tastefully decorated, and the guest rooms each have their own feel. A memorable stay, and an enchanting place to stop if you’re in the area.

The lap pool and sauna were especially nice at this time of year. We were warmly welcomed at this lovely, peaceful place, and the hosts were very attentive. Our room was spacious and clean, with a very comfortable bed. The decor is tasteful, too.

The meals were delicious, mostly made with vegetables from the garden, and we received a warm welcome. This is a beautiful spot surrounded by greenery, with a meadow, a quiet river, and indoor and outdoor pools. The rooms and cottages are comfortable, with lovely views over different parts of the garden. I highly recommend this guesthouse, a must-visit in Saint-Jean-le-Vieux.
