The whole place felt neglected, inside and out. There were no curtains or shutters, and the wallpaper, paint, carpets, door frames, and plaster all looked badly worn, with cracks around the frames and plasterwork. Even the outside seemed not to have been cleaned in years. At check-in I showed the receptionist my booking screenshot for a king-size bed with breakfast, along with the room photos. We got two single beds and no breakfast. She said the pictures were outdated and breakfast would cost an extra 10 euros per person. I had to decide right then because she was closing at 5 pm. The restaurant stayed closed all weekend. The reception shut shortly after we arrived and never opened again. I hadn't realized the hotel would be unattended the rest of the night and all of Sunday, apart from a cleaning lady. We left our keys with her when we went out. I would have paid double to stay anywhere else. Avoid and scramble!

A picturesque spot, and a few minutes on foot from the start of the Camino de Frances. The room was just right for relaxing, and breakfast was a lovely way to begin the day. The location in SJPDP is close to everything you need.

The service was spot on, and they were patient and polite even though I don't speak French. The hotel is a short distance up from the train station, right by the entrance to the walled city, the Camino start, and the Pilgrim Office. Walk straight for about 7 minutes and you'll reach a large supermarket and a sporting goods store, so you've got the essentials covered.

I got in late, just as reception was closing, but Yoric was still cheerful and found a safe place for my bike. The room was clean and roomy, with a comfortable bed and a great view from the window. The shower and aircon both worked well, and the service was very good.

Just outside the old town walls, so the credential office is a short walk away. A good place to stay before setting out on the Camino. The staff were helpful, the rooms cosy, and some look down the valley. The buffet breakfast is worth getting and good value.
