The staff were extremely helpful and attentive, but the photos gave a misleading impression. It’s really more of a motel: the double bed takes up nearly the whole room, and the ensuite is much like the ones on cross-channel ferries. If all you need is a cheap place to sleep, it’s fine, but there are no frills.

Rooms are basic but clean, and the staff are really friendly. It’s a cheap hotel about 15 minutes from the St Malo ferry docks, so it’s good value if you’re heading there.

The room was much nicer than at other Premier Class hotels. The bathroom was clean and had shower gel, the linen looked good, and the furniture wasn’t very damaged. The only issues were a cigarette smell in the room and air conditioning that didn’t work.

The room was clean enough and close to everything else by car. The walls are very thin, though, so we could hear everything from the neighbours. Our AC was broken and only blew hot air, which meant we had to keep the door open.

We knew this was a cheap place and what to expect before an early ferry. The location is close to restaurants, including a great pizzeria. Still, the bathroom in our ground-floor room, 007, needed repairs and updating.
