We may well book again next year. The cottage is very well equipped, including a refrigerator, dishwasher, and washing machine. The setting, pool, and amenities were all perfect, and there's even a pétanque court and volleyball court. On arrival, there was a bottle of wine from the estate on the table, along with homemade jams, both delicious and a lovely touch. The cottage is tucked among vineyards, and the owner gave us a superb welcome. They're energetic and suggested plenty to do in the area, including local festivals.
We spent a wonderful weekend with friends, our dog, and the children in one of the 3-star gîtes. It sits peacefully among the vineyards, in an ideal location. At the end of the day, the fireplace was especially welcome, and we enjoyed tasting the "more than local" wine 😁. There's geocaching nearby, which was fun for the kids. We'll definitely return!
We actually bought several jars of the exquisite homemade jam to take home. The owner was extremely friendly, welcoming, and helpful, and the quiet cottage was comfortable, relaxing, and tastefully decorated. We spent two wonderful weeks there in August. The scenery is magnificent and the region feels like a real change of scene. We were sorry to leave and would love to come back. Don't hesitate to go, you won't regret it!
The main drawbacks were the small shower room and toilet, which felt cramped for eight people, and the lovely pool, a ten-minute walk away. In the nine-person gîte, the two single beds on the mezzanine are really only suitable for teenagers or fairly flexible adults. Even so, we had a wonderful stay and highly recommend it. This tastefully decorated, well-equipped former farmhouse is peaceful among the vineyards, though a little hard to find. The owner was very attentive. It's a short distance from the Ardèche gorges and a treetop adventure park with several increasingly impressive courses.
