Huttopia Le Moulin

The staff were the highlight: friendly, enthusiastic, easy to find around the campsite, and very helpful with choosing places to visit. We loved the bread service and coffees, and the pizza we had one night tasted great. We visited in low season, so there wasn't much entertainment yet, but we didn't miss it. Bikes are available to rent, and there are plenty of brochures. The campsite is well placed for visiting the gorges d'Ardeche and other southern Ardèche sights, with Vallon-Pont-d'Arc about 30 minutes away. The village has activities and good dinner spots, and is an easy walk. The almond croissants really are worth it, especially at Festival des Pains on your left. Pitches are large and shaded, with bushes and trees around them. Regular pitches are mixed in with rental tents and houses, which makes for good interaction. The sanitary facilities are a bit old but kept very clean. The pool is simple, but suited us. It's a wonderful campsite, and we'll definitely return!

We left after just an hour because the cabins felt very old, the mattresses were very thin, there was no air conditioning, and the place seemed poorly maintained. This campsite didn't meet the standard of other Huttopia sites. Unfortunately, the operator wouldn't meet us halfway, so we had to pay for the whole stay. That was within their rights under the conditions, but it left us unhappy and will affect the choices I make for my status in the future.

The staff were the friendliest hosts I've ever met, and we're definitely coming back. Our mobile home was designed perfectly for our needs, and it was cozy with all the facilities we needed. The location was so convenient, close to the river, restaurants, and the breathtaking Gorges. For the price, what you get is outstanding. Best campsite I've stayed at in over 28 years. Thanks so much!
