Le Petit Salé

A spacious dining room and a lovely terrace, with a very warm welcome.

The menu was superb, and the time just flew. My family were all delighted, and I was even happier. I celebrated my 50th birthday here, and it was pure bliss! The owner paid close attention while putting the menu together. On the day, everyone looked after me so well, and the staff were incredibly friendly. The welcome at the start was so warm. Thanks again for everything. We'll be back, so don't hesitate, you really should go!

Bruno, our waiter, was absolutely wonderful. We had no regrets about stopping here while on holiday in the area, before heading to Lake Vassivière. The €19 set menu included unlimited meat and dessert, and we thoroughly enjoyed it. The meat was excellent. A huge thank you to Bruno again. Please don't change a thing. We look forward to coming back.

The meat was industrially produced, with chicken dried out after spending hours, maybe even days, in the oven. The appetizer buffet seemed to have the same things sitting there for two or three days, and the mayonnaise was drying out. The leeks vinaigrette were undercooked, too. They only serve canned food, and even that was... The welcome was disastrous and the service appalling. The dessert plates were sticky underneath, so what am I supposed to think? The coffee was undrinkable, and the floor by the toilets was sticky. Avoid this place!
