Château de la Bourdelière

The place itself is lovely, but the way things were handled was really unprofessional. We spent a lot of time getting there for a visit, which went well, and then asked for a quote. After following up several times, we heard nothing back. No quote, no refusal, no explanation. That's shameful and completely unprofessional for this kind of venue.

We were there for a wedding and loved the venue. The huge greenhouse made a lovely spot for the evening reception, while the beautiful grounds in front of the château worked perfectly for the civil ceremony. It's in a quiet area, not too far from Lyon. I'd highly recommend it for celebrations or family get-togethers.

The dining room beneath the grand glass roof was the real highlight. At nightfall, the lights reflected all around and made it feel magical. I photographed a wedding at Château de la Bourdelière in July 2024 and loved the whole place. The château rooms had so much character and plenty of space for everyone to get ready. The grounds were gorgeous for a secular ceremony or cocktails, and arriving up the château's steps was a special touch. I hope couples getting married at Château de la Bourdelière contact me again so I can return!

I discovered this beautiful, charming place at a wedding, and the views were magnificent. It seems ideal for weddings, with a civil ceremony area, a lovely rose garden, and superb linden trees that give you some welcome shade. The only small downside was how noisy it got under the glass roof during the reception. Otherwise, everything was very good. I didn't visit the rooms.
