We didn’t feel comfortable at all. We’d only been at the pool for a few minutes to relax when a woman followed us around like a cop and started telling us we couldn’t swim in a swimsuit, use sunscreen, or drink anything. We went straight back to our room, then a few minutes later she came by again to ask what time we were leaving. What?! I’ve never experienced anything like it. Terrible, and not recommended at all.

The bungalows have what you need, with dishes and linens provided, and work well for a family or friends’ holiday. The location in Saint-Leu is ideal, with a splendid view and lovely sunsets.

We stayed at Cap Soleil for a week with our three children, ages 6, 9, and 11. We all felt at home and were a little sad to leave. Our place looked out over the pool and ocean, which felt like a luxury, and the pool itself was clean and lovely. Patricia gave us great tips for exploring Réunion, and Julien taught us so much about the island’s plants, fruit, vegetables, and animals. The kids are already planning to come back. Thanks so much, and all the best!

Sitting on the terrace and looking out over the lagoon and ocean feels just as magical on my second visit to Gîte Cap Soleil in Saint Leu. The center is only a five-minute walk away, there’s parking, and each place to stay has a book full of good things to discover. The team are fantastic, welcoming, kind, and helpful. I always enjoy chatting with them. It’s hard to leave this beautiful part of the west coast and this magnificent island. I already know I’ll be back. Bravo, team!
