Hôtel Oré

The only real problem was the shower, which kept swinging between temperatures every minute. I had to keep adjusting it, and sudden bursts of really hot water don’t feel safe with kids around. Otherwise, it was a very welcoming place for families. They provided a baby crib and bathtub at no charge. The room was simply decorated, but cozy and calming, and I liked how efficiently they used the space and materials. The staff were friendly and warm.

We had a large, comfortable family room on the ground floor, with a patio door opening onto the lawn. Breakfast had lots of options and was excellent. The hotel is about ten minutes from the port at St Malo, and the adequate parking was a priority for us. We’d recommend it and stay again next time we’re in the area.

Getting to St Malo was simple, with a bus stop just around the corner, and Google Maps made it easy to work out. The room worked really well for our family of five sharing one room, and the staff were very helpful. There’s no fridge in the room and no lift. We didn’t need either, but it’s useful to know.

The sauna and hot tub were a lovely bonus. Our room was spacious and had an unusual design, and breakfast was wonderful, though there weren’t many seats. It’s a beautiful hotel, and the staff were friendly. Highly recommend!
