Camping le Balcon de la Baie

We recently stayed in a two-bedroom static home. The campsite is very peaceful, with stunning surroundings and a sea view. The owners keep the site beautiful and are friendly and helpful. We’re looking forward to returning next year.

We had a lovely, relaxed stay at this great campsite, with glorious sunsets and beautiful views across the valley. Gaëlle and Sylvain are really nice people. They were so helpful when we had a problem with our van, and we appreciated their help with French too. The main pitches for campers are around the pool, well spaced with attractive hedges between them. The other pitches are well served but don’t have the views. Showers and toilets were always clean, well maintained, and available. We also used the washing machine and washing-up facilities. It’s within cycling distance of Mont Saint-Michel and about half an hour from Dinan or St Malo. We hope to be back.

We had a relaxing week and would definitely stay again. The location is handy for lots of tourist attractions, and the view is amazing. Sunsets are incredible, and on a clear night the stars were stunning because there’s little background light. We also enjoyed seeing the owls and bats. It’s a lovely, peaceful campsite for families or couples, with spacious pitches separated by hedges for a bit more privacy. The facilities are excellent, very clean and well thought out. There’s a baby changing room with a baby bath, potty and toddler toilet seat, plus a double shower booth with one shower head at kid height. The pool area is nicely landscaped and well maintained. The baker van in the morning was brilliant, and we tried several evening food trucks. They were all great and excellent value.

The bathrooms are the best I’ve come across at a campsite so far. They have toilet seats and loo paper, and more than one toilet. Amazing stuff. The pitches are flat, shady and a good size, and there’s a really nice pool. Kids have an inflatable castle and trampolines. It’s very quiet and away from the main road. A bakery van comes every morning except Monday, and the staff are friendly. I’d definitely recommend it over other sites in the area.
