We come to Chaillol rather than the other local ski resorts partly for the burger and chips, or “steak haché frites.” It’s the best lunch you can get, and it’s cheap, quick, and served with a smile. The sunny terrace is in a great spot, just 10 seconds from the chairlift.

We’ll definitely come back. The restaurant is lovely and full of charm, and the mountain meal was really delicious. The owner and staff gave us a wonderfully warm welcome!
