The hotel itself was cozy, quite nice, and clean, though there isn't a mini fridge in the rooms. There's just a small one in the entrance hall, and it doesn't work well. Madame Joanna at reception was really rude. She seemed too bothered to answer questions over the phone, hung up before hearing us out, and was even ruder when we called back. It felt like talking to someone who wasn't interested in helping.

The rooms were clean, pleasant, and well equipped, and breakfast was delicious. We arrived late for our one night, but the woman at reception welcomed us without any trouble.

The terrace outside was dirty and neglected, which was a shame since it could be a nice spot to sit. Breakfast was disappointing too. The pancake machine wasn't working, and the buffet pancakes, waffles, and pain au chocolate all tasted as if they'd been sitting out for days. There seemed to be plenty to choose from, but the quality was poor. We stayed one night while doing the tour des grandes alpes. The renovated rooms have AC, which was really nice, but there was no soap by the bathroom sink.

Self check-in went smoothly, but the pictures don't match the hotel's rather worn condition. The bathroom was very old and uninviting, and the bar was closed on Sunday evening. I'm not sure this place merits a three-star rating.
