The terrace was lovely, and the room and bathroom were spacious, but communication and service were very poor. The bed covers were also very old. I asked about checking in early when I booked, since the listed check-in time of 5.30pm seemed unusually late. They said it might be possible and asked me to call when I arrived. I followed up the day before and again that morning. I explained that I had a job interview by conference call scheduled for 5pm, and asked about the wifi and the early check-in. Again, they told me to call on arrival. When I called, they simply said check-in was at 5.30. I explained about the important meeting and that I'd asked in advance, but they left me outside and wouldn't even let me into the lobby. My wife and I were bike-packing, which they knew, and we were exhausted after cycling all day. They showed no hospitality. I was allowed in only after I called Booking.com. The room was ready, so it wasn't a logistics issue; it felt like bad will. The wifi didn't work at all anyway. At breakfast, the basket had small croissants, biscuits, and pieces of bread. My wife and I both love croissants, so we asked for a second one since there was only one mini croissant. They brought more, but took some bread pieces out of the basket in exchange. That was a rude, distasteful gesture.
