La Roche du Moulin

We’d gladly come back after such a pleasant stay. There are lovely walks nearby, and Matthieu was attentive and friendly throughout. The chalets sit in a quiet, green spot and are spotless and thoughtfully equipped, with nothing missing.

Foxes, chickens, and a rooster wander around, so don’t leave your sandals or clothes out on the veranda, haha. There’s also a little playground for young children. The chalets are spacious and well cared for, and the surroundings are clean, peaceful, and full of beautiful nature. Matthieu is a hospitable owner. It’s close to Parc de Morvan, the Cure River, a nice picnic spot, and lovely places including Vézelay, Montreal, Auxerre, and Avallon. A great choice for a long weekend or a midweek break.

We had a great time exploring the area, with hiking trails and caves all around. We also visited a sparkling wine cellar and the Basilica of Vézelay, and ate very well at the little restaurant/bar in the village. Our chalet was clean and well-equipped, with Wi-Fi and a barbecue. The setting is peaceful, the owner was helpful and attentive, and having the option to bring pets was a real bonus. We spent a wonderful week there and chose the spa option for some extra relaxation. Highly recommended!

A lovely, relaxing spot for a three-day weekend at the La Roche du Moulin chalets. The owner gave us a very warm welcome, and the chalet was really well equipped. If you’re after a pleasant stay in Burgundy, I recommend it. We’ll definitely come back.
