I saw a few rooms, and even though they were built hundreds of years ago, they felt updated, right down to having outlets for charging my devices. Getting that balance between comfort and authenticity can’t be easy, but I think they manage it really well. The setting is so quiet and full of history, with mountains, fields, trees, and cows grazing in the distance. It felt like stepping into another time.

We came back for a second visit, 13 years after spending our honeymoon here. It’s a beautiful, peaceful glimpse of history, and the food is excellent. I’d highly recommend it.

Call before you go and make sure the reservation is registered for the right date. We were left waiting outside the castle for an hour and a half because ours was down for the wrong day. There was no meal for us, and the rooms looked nothing like the pictures. We had to urgently find a hotel. Honestly, avoid it at all costs. 🤌 We really love that, huh 🙂

After our long drive, we were told to wait two hours for the owner to come back, and I had to find a hotel in a hurry. The castle is poorly maintained, and the rooms were nothing like we expected. Photos can make the place look good, but I can’t see how anyone could have enjoyed staying there. I’m giving it one star, though I’d give it zero if I could. It’s unbelievable how indifferent people can be. What a bunch of geniuses.
