Dax’s roads are a pain, and the hotel itself was a little hard to find. Parking was confusing too. It looked tired, and I didn’t go to the spa, though it might be fine as a spa. This wasn’t the best Best Western I’ve stayed at.

You’re close to a lake and a casino, and Dax is nearby if you want to visit. The restaurant was really nice, and the staff were very helpful. I couldn’t find anything to fault, which is why I gave it five stars. Highly recommend.

We found this a better than expected place to stop while travelling along France’s west coast towards Spain. The attached spa and water centre are a bonus. Our room was clean, comfortable and quiet, and the staff were welcoming and helpful.

We ate at the restaurant, but the food didn’t feel worth what we paid, and the quality could be better. The room was quiet, the bed comfortable, and our one-night stay was pleasant. The rooms are quite dated and need an upgrade.

Breakfast was good and typically French, and dinner was quite good too. The hotel is older, but it’s nice, quiet and clean. The smaller rooms don’t have a fridge, so for a longer stay I’d get a suite. Pay for the parking garage.
