Hotel de l'ocean

At this price I wasn’t expecting luxury, just a basically clean room. The gentleman was quite nice and smiled, but the outside of this old budget hotel is badly neglected, and the room for three was disgusting. There were bedbugs, including dead ones in the bed, spiders in every corner, a filthy floor, hair in the bathroom, and the bed was soaking wet from a leak. We had to use our own sheets. The kettle hadn’t been emptied, there were no cups or tea bags, and no towels. With the temperature as it was, a thin blanket wasn’t enough. I’ll spare you the rest. It’s a shame, because a little more investment for guests would make a difference. I unfortunately can’t recommend it.

Dirty and unhealthy, with a strong smell of dust and stale cigarette smoke in the shared areas. The taps were rusty, the mattresses stained, the paint peeling, and the bathtub blocked. Of course, there was no air conditioning. For an extra treat, a little cockroach came to say goodnight! If you like 1970s Cuba, this attraction is for you. Good luck!

The breakfast was generous and all-you-can-eat, with pastries from a bakery rather than a supermarket, and the room was clean. Prices are very reasonable, the staff are friendly, and a key is provided for the curfew. It’s a very pleasant place with lots of potential. One to keep in mind!

The receptionist was very friendly, but the rest of the hotel is old-fashioned and poorly maintained. The gardener seems to have been on vacation for a long time, and cleanliness leaves a lot to be desired, with chocolate stains from the previous day still on the table. It was noisy because of the nearby road. There’s no automatic lighting in the hallways and no elevator. All in all, it felt like an old council flat.
