After a long drive, the lake walk is a lovely way to stretch your legs, and it takes about an hour. The area feels very safe and there's good parking. The place is basic, but the bed was very comfortable, so it worked well as an overnight stop on the way to or from Spain.

We came back for a second visit and had another great overnight stay. The staff were lovely, the room was clean, the bed really comfortable, and parking was free. The rates were competitive too. We'll be back.

The choice of food from the two restaurants was good, and it was excellent value. We were also met by very helpful staff, a welcome change after the dreadful hotel we'd booked in Dax. We'll stay here again next time we're passing through.

We needed somewhere pet friendly at short notice during a long drive from Spain to the UK, after making a booking mistake at another hotel. L'Hotel came to the rescue with its last two rooms, and we had a really restful night. The breakfast the next morning was amazing value and set us up nicely for the rest of the drive. The staff were excellent and happy to help with anything. This is going to be a regular stop for us.

The location overlooking a lake was great, and there are a restaurant, a tex mex bar and restaurant, and a casino next door. We didn't go into the casino. Our room was large and clean, with a big comfortable bed. The girl at reception was brilliant and very helpful, though I didn't catch her name. We stayed on our way to spain and will definitely return to L'Hotel by JOA.
