The garden and public terrace were the standout for me, clearly laid out with a lot of care. Christine and Pascal also leave guests a leaflet covering things like restaurants and day trips, and the beach is an easy walk away. We booked at the last minute while waiting on UK Covid rules, so it initially seemed like our backup choice, but we had a brilliant time. The rural setting is quiet, and the hotel is very clean and well organised without feeling anonymous. It has a welcoming, family-run feel, with many guests staying a week or longer. Our room/apartment had a generous terrace, breakfast is well worth having, and the whole stay was relaxing and enjoyable. We'd definitely come back.

Christine and Pascal are so welcoming and attentive, and they really love helping us get to know their island. The garden is full of lush greenery, flowers, and colour, and the pool is a pleasure, especially with those thick cushions on the loungers. We love this hotel and pick it whenever we stay on the island. It's conveniently placed near the sea and within reach of Saint-Pierre, La Cotinière, and Saint-Georges.

We've been spending a few days on Île d'Oléron for years, and since we found Christine and Pascal's, we keep returning. They know the island well and are lovely, engaging hosts who are happy to share tips. The hotel is so comfortable that leaving is hard, and the rooms are pleasant with tasteful decor. Breakfast is generous, served on a warm, colourful, relaxed terrace. Its location makes exploring the whole island easy. I recommend it, but not too much, please, we still need you to save us a room!

We've stayed here three times now, and this visit was a romantic getaway. The hosts are very welcoming and happy to share information or advice if you ask. Though it's only a five-minute walk to the ocean, the hotel sits a little back from the coastal bustle. Greenery and the pool give it a snug, secluded feel. This is our idea of paradise.

The beach nearby is gorgeous and quiet, just a five-minute walk away, so we'll definitely return. The hotel has a lovely pool and the staff were kind and welcoming. Breakfast was simple French fare, with no savoury choices, but it was adequate for a three-star place.
