The pool was nice, but we won't be back. The apartment felt dated, and its location on a busy main road wasn't apparent in the photos. Someone on our floor made a lot of noise with a loose German Shepherd. We stayed for 2 weeks at the end of May and couldn't even get into the building at first: there was no Lagrange reception. An apartment owner helped us reach the woman who was meant to be there, and we eventually got the key from the mailbox beside reception. The whole arrangement felt particularly poor and impersonal. I wouldn't recommend this place.

The apartment needs a lot of updating, from the furniture to the appliances. It gets almost unbearably hot in summer, and there are no fans or air conditioning, even as an extra. The blackout curtains don't block the daylight or the heat. We couldn't open the windows comfortably because of the nearby road noise and dogs barking on the property. The apartment is also very poorly soundproofed, though luckily we had no neighbors. The fridge is too small for a place meant for five people. There are some good things here: the residence has lovely architecture and sits in a beautiful wooded park, so the setting is pleasant and quiet. The pool is well kept, and having a dishwasher in the apartment was welcome. Still, we were disappointed and don't recommend renting it in its current state. We won't return.

Such a shame, because it's a beautiful place, and the welcome was very, very good. But after returning 8 years after our first stay, which we'd booked on a whim and enjoyed, we found a very different apartment. The fridge no longer cools and the dishwasher doesn't wash. I'd tell the owner to spend a week there before renting it out. If your apartment faces the pool, be ready for a loud leaf blower every weekday morning from Monday to Friday in the middle of August. There won't be an alarm clock needed. They do have quieter ones now, though.

The only good part was the swimming pool and its shaded area. The residence is very worn out. We came in the evening as a family with our three children, aged 11, 5, and 18 months, and found the beds still needed making. We ended up sleeping on our towels. The apartment was unsanitary, with a black, sticky floor. The receptionist came to inspect it the next day. Broken tiles had pieces coming loose from the floor, which was dangerous, especially with our 18-month-old. We were facing a very noisy boulevard, so sleeping with the windows open at night was difficult.
