Les Chambres de Naevag

We booked two nights in a terrace room with a jacuzzi for New Year's Eve. On December 30th, around 7 pm, we were told the spa wasn’t working and offered a “smaller room with jacuzzi” instead. After discussing it, we agreed to sleep in the larger room and use the jacuzzi in the smaller one. When we arrived, both jacuzzis were in awful condition. The outdoor one had exposed wires, which was clearly hazardous. There was limescale on the coffee makers and in the showers, dust and mold, and towels and bathrobes that smelled musty and moldy. Renovations looked unfinished or badly done, the exterior lights didn’t work properly, and there was no smoke detector, which is mandatory. The decor was extremely tasteless, and there were no cleaning supplies or trash cans. There was a TV, but not a smart TV with Netflix or anything similar. The restaurant Wi-Fi had no signal, and there was almost no cell service. The owner said they would make it up to us but didn’t follow through. I book through hotels.com every week, and I’ve never seen a place in such a state. I can only hope the restaurant meets hygiene standards. A disastrous stay from start to finish: unsanitary, dangerous, and dishonest, and nowhere near the advertised standard. Avoid at all costs.
