La Longère du Parc

The Mandarine Suite was spacious and worked perfectly for our family, and our daughters really liked their room. We had a wonderful time, especially with Beauval and the Loire Valley castles only minutes away. Breakfast was fantastic, and thank you so much for the warm welcome.

Booking.com is how we found the place, and we spent three days visiting Beauval Zoo and the Loire Valley châteaux. The setting felt authentic, distinctive, and close to nature, and the host welcomed us perfectly. We did miss having a restaurant on-site, but got excellent suggestions for local places to eat. Thank you from Switzerland! And don’t put much stock in Parisian tourists’ comments if they’re used to apartments and don’t understand what a stay in the wild is like.

0 stars. Scammers, stay away! We booked a night in a yurt through Booking.com on May 17, 2025, remember that? When we arrived, someone else was already in it because the owner hadn’t checked his Booking.com app. He didn’t apologize. Instead, he blamed us for booking through Booking.com and not calling to confirm, something we’d never had to do with a Booking.com reservation. He put us in touch with a friend in the city center who rents rooms and could take us, for €120. We’d already paid €150 through Booking.com and asked how we’d get it back. He said to request a cancellation through Booking.com, and promised he’d confirm that he couldn’t honor the booking so we’d be reimbursed. But he never confirmed anything to Booking. Four registered letters got no response. My legal protection insurance got involved, but he kept avoiding the issue, and I have the emails to prove it. He hasn’t answered Booking’s requests either, even though they tried contacting him again two weeks ago at my request. You’re acting in bad faith, and you’re liars and swindlers! All you need to do is confirm in writing to Booking that you couldn’t honor our reservation so I can get my money back, but apparently that’s beyond your capabilities. I have all the proof, and YOU OWE ME €150! If you can’t manage a bed and breakfast anymore, find another line of work. I trust in karma now and wish you nothing more. Update 11/03/26: I stand by my previous review. The owner has done absolutely NOTHING, despite what he says in response to my comment. They’re dishonest and deceitful, stay away!

We spent one night in the large Longère with 12 people. The welcome was quick and straightforward, but effective, and the person was very friendly and helpful. The bedding was clean and comfortable for all 12 of us, which isn’t always easy. Breakfast service was impeccable, and it was very good. Thank you.
