Call ahead if you’re coming to the restaurant. The local cuisine and wine list are great, and the homemade pie was lovely. It’s run by a hard-working couple, with a talented cook and hostess.

We shared a fantastic bottle of local wine by Frederic Cossard of Domaine de Chassorney in Saint-Romain on the terrace at Hotel les Roches. Cossard is a leading natural wine producer, and his bottles are extremely hard to find. Since this is the closest restaurant to his Domaine, the hotel had a great selection. The Burgundy country cooking was very tasty, too. This small village setting, far from the crowds of Beaune, feels magical. If you’ve come this far, you’re clearly a wine lover, and this restaurant is the sort of setting you might only dream of in Paris.

We had lunch here today and had a good time, served by owners who were pleasant and caring. It’s nice to see a place that puts effort into both food and drink, choosing natural, local wines and offering a regional, seasonal menu that’s well executed. Thank you.

Chef Bertrand’s talent and the friendly, professional team made for a great time. The setting is warm, and the cuisine is high quality, made with fresh local produce that’s seasonal. A great place.
