The food was tasty, nicely presented, and cooked just as we’d asked. We had lamb, steak and pork, though each came with chips and no other vegetables even after we asked, which made the meal feel a little pricey. It took a while to arrive, but the service was good and our server was accommodating. The restaurant was bright and clean, with a fairly large menu. We ate there and had drinks at the hotel bar, a small place with a reasonable selection, including locally brewed bottled beer. It’s a family-run hotel. It was very quiet when we visited, and the welcome felt somewhat subdued.

The restaurant is worth a visit for its delicious homemade food and excellent value. This lovely place is worth a detour if you’re passing through the Périgord Vert region. The hotel itself is superbly renovated, set in a charming old building, with beautiful rooms, spacious bathrooms, and a nice mix of modern and traditional style.
