Lou Pinet

The rooms looked lovely, but ours felt tucked away with very little daylight. Opening the curtains meant looking straight into the pool area, so there was no privacy. Breakfast also left a bad taste: at over €1,000 a night, it wasn’t automatically included, and on our final day we were charged for it even though we hadn’t had it before. Parking was another €35 a day, which seems absurd when the hotel isn’t even in central St. Tropez. The concierge helped with restaurant bookings, but told us a beach club was booked for us one day and it turned out to be closed. She only acknowledged the mistake after we raised it. At checkout, we waited more than 30 minutes for our bags and car because staff were busy. The team was kind, but the uneven service and lack of polish didn’t meet the standard I’d expect of a five star hotel. The turn-down service was inconsistent too, sometimes leaving cleaning supplies or dirty dishes, sometimes folding clothes, and other times doing neither. We stayed at Lou Pinet. It has charm, but didn’t live up to five star standards, and the service felt very average for that category. Stay somewhere else!

We spent our honeymoon here and are so glad we did. BeefBar was 10/10, and the hotel had a calm, relaxing feel. Our room was clean, and the staff were exceptionally kind and friendly, always checking that we were comfortable.

I had such a great time here! The amenities are good, and all the staff are lovely.

The room, specifically 304, was tiny for a suite advertised as comfortable for three people. There was barely room to move, and the pullout couch bed sat right in front of the main bed. There was only one bathroom. WiFi was very unreliable, especially if you need to work, though it was strongest inside the lobby restaurant. Be careful on the stairs from both the lobby and restaurant, as there are lots of loose tiles and stones. The shuttle goes to town and the beach clubs, but check the exact destination with the staff and driver, since they might leave you some distance away. On the plus side, the grounds are beautiful, the staff are an absolute delight, and room service usually arrived within 10 minutes, often quicker. The pool is stunning. Still, the rooms and amenities didn’t meet our expectations for a luxury hotel of this level.
