La Sirène

I feel it's important to share this, even though it's my first negative review. I made a mistake with the booking date and replied promptly, but the manager wouldn't listen. They offered no gesture or refund, not even a partial one. In hospitality, I'd expect listening, understanding, and some flexibility. I work in tourism and know how much it matters to connect with people, so the lack of empathy here left me deeply disappointed.

This little fisherman's cottage sits in the historic district, close to the city center. We loved the generous breakfast and how warmly and kindly our host welcomed us, along with all her helpful advice. Our room was spacious, lovely, very clean, and had everything we needed. We had a wonderful stay with Sylvie and her two adorable dogs, Juju and Olympe.

The room was pleasant, but getting to it meant using a difficult spiral staircase, and the ceiling was low. Breakfast was very average, too. The breakfast room, which also serves as the house entrance, didn't feel very welcoming and could do with a decor refresh. There were also 2 dogs in cages in that room. A disappointing stay.

The welcome was really warm, and the breakfast was enough for us. Thanks for all the advice, and kisses to the girls! It's an adorable fisherman's cottage with plenty of authenticity, and the room was comfortable and pleasant.
