Hotel le Préjoly

The older gentleman who greeted us at reception was very sweet, but he couldn’t find any record of our booking, and there wasn’t even a PC at the desk. We were frustrated. We also had no Wi-Fi in the room, so after a day on the road we couldn’t talk to our loved ones like we usually do. The hotel has started some renovation work, but it still falls well short of what the price suggests. It’s a budget hotel that charges a bit too much for the service. Also, be aware that you can’t pay by card there.

The room was clean and modern, with a beautiful mountain view, and there was plenty of free parking. Cannes and Lac de Saint-Cassien were just a short drive away. The gentleman who checked us in was welcoming and patient with my awful French, and the staff were friendly and accommodating. We had Wi-Fi and could pay by card, too. Great value for money, I’d highly recommend it!

We felt awful in the room at hotel Le Prejoly. The floor sloped sharply across the whole room, and as soon as we walked in we felt dizzy, nauseated, and had a headache. We were told there were no other rooms, so we had to find another hotel that night. We’d only been there about two and a half hours, but the receptionist angrily refused a refund and said the slope was “not so great”. He also wouldn’t help us carry our heavy suitcases down the many stairs to the entrance, and just shouted at us. Stay away.

We arrived to find the hotel had no rooms available, even though I’d booked one night through Expedia and the money had been taken from my account. The chief wouldn’t discuss the issue with us. After waiting a couple of days with no reimbursement, I contacted Expedia to reclaim the money and have them seek it from the hotel. It seems they sold the same room twice. The hotel was completely unreliable.
