Breakfast was generous and set us up well for an on-time start to Puy du Fou, about 30 minutes away. The room was spotless, and the bedding was impeccable. Martine and Bernard welcomed us warmly throughout our stay and gave us great suggestions for all sorts of visits. They’re wonderful ambassadors for the Vendée. We’d be very happy to come back.

The room’s decor was quite unusual. Martine and Bernard were kind and welcoming, but their attention felt intrusive at times. They stood beside us during breakfast without joining us or saying much, and came into our room to ask about breakfast while we were showering or getting ready. There was no parking space.

The room was practical and very clean, and so was the bathroom. The owners were warm, welcoming and fascinating to talk to. I could have listened to their wonderful stories for hours. I wholeheartedly recommend this gîte. Thanks again to them!
