Prieuré Saint Nicolas - Les Maisons

Arnaud and the team were the best hosts for our fantastic 50th birthday celebration. Everything was perfect from start to finish!

We had a wonderful lunch today. The food was excellent, and the hosts were great. I highly recommend the restaurant!

I was here for a wedding, and every guest, including the bride and groom, was disappointed. The setting is pretty, and the rooms may look nice, but the lack of service was a letdown. There was no reception or staff to help, nowhere to buy even basics like water, and no fridge in the room to store things. There was no cleaning during the stay either. This feels like self-service accommodation with no responsibility from the owners, not a hotel.

We had a beautiful wedding at Prieuré Saint Nicolas, and I want to thank the other staff who tried to make the experience good. The venue is visually stunning, and the region has plenty of other beautiful places with real hospitality and service. Sadly, I can't recommend this one. Arnaud was incredibly difficult to work with: rude, unhelpful, arrogant, unprofessional, and he didn't listen to or care about our requests. Planning with him was a constant source of stress. We eventually contacted previous couples for advice, and they described similar experiences. One couple suggested an on-the-day coordinator, Marine, whom we hired. She really saved our wedding. We initially liked the food and wanted the venue's catering, but decided against it to avoid another headache with the owner. He doesn't leave decisions to his staff, so they can't make a decision unless an issue goes through him. The service didn't live up to the beautiful venue, either as a wedding venue or a five-star hotel. Despite the premium price, basic things were missing: no fridges in the rooms during a heatwave, no reception after 6pm, and the venue wasn't ready as promised. After the wedding, the only message from Arnaud was a complaint about trash a hotel guest had left in the room, rather than congratulations.
