The meals were spot on every time, from classic French dishes done perfectly to pizzas that could compete with the best outside Italy. The hotel is clearly in good hands in the kitchen. It’s also in a peaceful, sleepy town, just five minutes from the ski station, and the atmosphere brings together locals and visitors who’ve found the place. We felt welcome from the moment we arrived. The smiles and warmth from everyone seemed completely genuine. Natanael, our waiter, deserves a special thank you. He became a friend, made us laugh again and again, and generously shared his French culture. He added a lot to our stay. Merci, Nate. Thank you, Hotel Le Monal, for making it so special. We’ll be back.

We came to see our daughter and had two fantastic pizzas. They were the best we’d had in ages, so we’re coming back before we leave. The staff were all helpful and assisted us on our journey. Thanks, Nico and staff. Make sure you visit this restaurant / hotel.

We ate at the delicious restaurant four times, and the comfortable room had a hot shower. The hotel is beautiful, and the photos don’t really show it off. They were incredibly accommodating, too. We had lots of additional needs and none of them seemed like a problem. It undersells itself, and I couldn’t recommend it more highly.

The hotel, bar, and restaurant all had a warm, welcoming feel, and the staff were very friendly. We had a comfortable, enjoyable stay, with a lovely breakfast and great mountain views. The restaurant food was excellent.

We were very satisfied with our stay and would come again. We got a room with a view for a pretty decent price, so the value was very good. The area isn’t directly linked to Tignes or Val d’Isere by public transport, but with a car this could be a great choice since it’s about 20 minutes from the slopes. The restaurant food was pretty good and very reasonably priced, and the staff were friendly and helpful. We ate there twice, and would have gone again if we’d stayed longer.
