Villa Grimm

The dogs made us feel at home straight away, and the staff were so kind, offering advice and helping with what we needed. We were sorry to stay only one night and will definitely come back. The villa felt like a fairy tale. Our room and bathroom were lovely and clean, and there was a sitting area in the room where we could relax. Breakfast was generous and made with fresh products.

The owners were the best part of our stay. They were so welcoming and made us feel at home in their house right away. Their two dogs greeted us like old friends, and we can't recommend the place enough. We stayed just one night in this little piece of paradise, but we'll definitely return. The villa's location is amazing, with a lovely outdoor space and garden where you can unwind in the evening. Breakfast was a fantastic French spread, with fresh, tasty products. The rooms are beautiful, carefully put together with details from one owner's collection of antiques and modern art. Our bathroom was enormous and spotless, stocked with all sorts of lovely products, including shower gel, body creams, and perfumes. If I could give it more than five stars, I would.

Philippe and Nicolas are such generous, caring hosts. Their home has a happy, bright feel, with a fireplace that makes grey February days cozy and a lovely spot for aperitif. Simone and Orion, the adorable furry friends, brought us a lot of fun and greeted us so joyfully every time. Villa Grimm feels like stepping into a world of art, design, history, delicious tarts, good conversations, and wonderful hospitality. Philippe has many talents, from cooking to interior design, and it shows everywhere. The beds are comfortable, the linen is gorgeous, the shower is modern, and the hand wash is high quality. Breakfast was unforgettable: eggs, cheeses, homemade jams, bread, fruit salad, and freshly squeezed juices. Each morning Philippe also surprised us with a different homemade savory treat. The setting and carefully chosen porcelain make the whole breakfast a pleasure for the eyes and the palate. Villa Grimm is well worth visiting any time, and a real enrichment for both its guests and the Grand Est region.

Philippe was a wonderful host, with delicious breakfasts and great recommendations for the region. We had the best stay here. It's also a great choice if you're traveling with a dog, with a beautiful garden all around the house.
