We had such a warm welcome from the owners, and the homemade food was delicious. There was plenty to talk about too, with varied, genuine conversations. Our friends’ rugby getaway included dinner and a wine tasting with the owners, a night in the estate’s dormitory-style room, and breakfast. We’d happily come back!

We stayed the night of October 7th to 8th, 2023, while riding through the land of the Golden Stones. The horses were well catered for, with harnesses, a paddock beside the dormitory, and room for storing equipment. Marie cooked an excellent meal, and the estate wine was lovely too. Jean-Roland and Marie were so friendly, and the guesthouse has a beautiful setting with magnificent views. Breakfast was generous, with tea, coffee, fresh bread and pastries. We came away with great memories! 😀

After a comfortable night in the dormitory, we had breakfast and a picnic lunch ready for the next day. The couple made the evening lovely, with a delicious, hearty meal and a wine tasting. They looked after the riders and horses equally well: the paddock suited the horses, with water and food, a tie-up line, and a dry spot for the saddles. The shower and bathroom were very well equipped. Thank you for such a fantastic welcome during our horseback riding trip!

The evening with Marie and Jean Roland flew by, and we’ll definitely return. We stopped at the estate with our horses and had a magical time. They’re fantastic hosts, the food was delicious, and the wine was excellent.

The weekend was wonderful, and we had absolutely no complaints. The area is lovely and peaceful, just what you’d hope for in a place like this. The couple’s wine is very good and reasonably priced, and the food was superb. They’re excellent hosts. If you enjoy life and friendly people, go for it!
