At first glance, the apartment at Le Secret des Templiers in Lyon looked lovely. The first time we tried the hot tub, though, we ended up covered in sewage residue and there was an awful, overpowering smell. We told the hosts, who said it wasn’t normal and had never happened before, and they apologized. We drained and refilled the tub, but the same thing happened again. We messaged them to explain, and they never replied.

He offered cocaine to my friend and me. We refused, and he flew into a rage, spat on us, and insulted us. We got out quickly and filed a complaint. The apartment also looked nothing like the photos. It reeked strongly of vinegar and was full of ants. A nightmare!

Fourvière Cathedral looked breathtaking from the apartment, and the owners were friendly and welcoming. The modern decor gave the place its own character, and the jacuzzi was spotless and a real treat. I had no cleanliness complaints, despite what I’d read in other reviews. It’s also very well located, less than a 5-minute walk from Bellecour metro station. Ideal for a romantic weekend away 😁

The apartment was bright, quiet, and very clean, with comfortable bedding and a spacious whirlpool bath. It made a lovely little cocoon for a weekend, full of charm and originality. Cédrik welcomed us so warmly, and his cheerful, upbeat nature was contagious. He was a wonderful host, too, with useful tips and advice. Thanks again, Pauline & Jordy.

The apartment was filthy, and the jacuzzi was revolting, with a wet-dog smell. The whole thing felt like a huge scam, and the staff were incredibly rude. Worst experience of my life. I don’t trust the glowing ratings or reviews at all; I think they’re from family and friends.
