The studio was impeccable, very well equipped, and came with its own private terrace. Suzelle and Claude were warm, attentive hosts, and Suzelle's dinners were a real feast of flavors. Set in a beautiful hillside garden, the place is ideal for a peaceful, green getaway. Sainte-Rose is also well placed for exploring Basse-Terre, with shops nearby, the Bonne Mère distillery worth a visit, and the magnificent Grand Cul-de-sac Marin lagoon close by. I highly recommend it and would happily return.

The accommodation is a little dated and could do with some updating, but that hardly mattered beside everything else. The garden was beautiful and lush, the place was peaceful, and we loved being able to order delicious food. We spent two wonderful weeks here. The local dishes the hosts prepare are even more delicious. They were welcoming, caring, and attentive to our comfort and well-being throughout our stay. We had a wonderful time in a peaceful, very pleasant setting, surrounded by an exceptional garden and vegetation. I highly recommend it!

The owner gave us such a warm, generous welcome, and we loved our family stay. Her cooking was another treat, with delicious Creole food. The cottage is an idyllic place in Guadeloupe's Basse-Terre region, tucked among wonderful tropical plants: banana, papaya, coconut, mango, and local apricot trees.

I feel personally attached to this place and highly recommend it. The hosts were friendly, attentive, and gave us a superb welcome. The grounds are magnificent and full of lush greenery, and I even discovered their little collection of medicinal herbs.
