Mas du Couvin - maison d'hôtes Camargue

We stayed for two nights in this beautiful, spacious guesthouse, on an attractive estate well away from outside noise. Jean-Luc, the manager, welcomed us like friends, and we had some lovely exchanges of ideas. The breakfast was wonderful and very generous, with nothing missing. The house is a 10-minute drive from the village of Les Saintes-Maries-de-la-Mer, where there are excellent restaurants. From the house, we watched sublime sunsets over the Couvin marsh. It was a lovely discovery.

The cabin was a favorite, especially with flamingos flying overhead, and the sunsets were stunning. Our family spent a wonderful week in this exceptional place, enjoying the Camargue countryside from a thoughtfully renovated farmhouse. The big dining room opens onto a full 360-degree panorama, and it’s easy to completely switch off here.

The view over the marsh, with flamingos, herons, and squirrels, is the kind you could keep looking at forever. Inside, the bedrooms feel warm, calm, and beautiful, and the huge shared room works perfectly for big family meals and cooking together. Outside, there’s nature all around, several garden seating areas to discover, and the cabin over the marsh has an incredible charm. Our week with the family was unforgettable. We’re already longing to come back. Simply magical!

The farmhouse has room for everyone, so it’s ideal for a holiday with family or friends. The decor is extraordinary, and it has all the amenities. You can take in the view over breakfast, then watch the sunset in the evening. A magnificent, magical haven of peace in the heart of the Camargue.
