What stood out was how much character this place has, something you don’t often find in hotels and B&Bs these days. It’s a fantastic B&B run by a French-American couple who renovated a 16th century villa with real care and attention to detail. Breakfast in the lush garden came with homemade jams and great bread, with a view of the Cathedral just 100 m away. The hosts were warm, interesting, and wonderful, and the place was very pet friendly. We had our dog with us. It’s right in the heart of the old town. We’d stay forever if we could :)

We were so lucky to spend a night in this gem. Monique and James have made a really special place, tastefully decorated with a fabulous antique collection. Their taste is impeccable. The rooms were exceptionally comfortable and had a fantastic shower. They gave us the warmest welcome, including our 10 months Vizsla puppy. We sat in the garden while James told us about the house’s history. The breakfast was delicious, and we even asked for the recipes for the homemade preserves. The location couldn’t be better, close to all the restaurants and bars of Saints but on a quiet street. We can’t wait to return. Thank you, Monique and James, and your daughter.

We were grateful for our 7 days here and for getting to know Monique, James, and Armande, who are wonderful hosts. They’ve put so much love into this beautiful hotel, and you can feel it during your stay. The rooms are authentic, clean, and cosy. Breakfast came with homemade confiture made using local and seasonal products. It felt like an oasis in the beautiful city of Saintes. We’ll definitely come back. Fabian and Jenne
