I stayed here on 06/05/24 with three friends during our motorcycle tour of France. The location is stunning, the hotel is beautiful, and the owners are friendly and informative. Both the rooms and the food were excellent. I’m retiring at the end end of the year and will definitely come back with my wife.

The views and location are incredible, and it seems like a wonderful place for families. Breakfast felt a little below par for the price, though.

We were greeted with a smile by the family who own the place, which made the stay all the more pleasant. The Bastide is a lovely romantic spot in rural Ardèche. GPS may have trouble finding it, but the owner has put up arrows guiding you to the large building from a distance. Our room was spacious and simple, with a very nice bathroom and a separate toilet. From the front, there’s a magnificent view across the valley to the church of Sanilhac. Breakfast was quite good for the price, though we honestly ate too many calories in the morning. The restaurant serves local dishes for dinner. The pool sits a little higher up the hill; it looked nice, but the weather meant we couldn’t use it yet.

The terrace is marvellous, and the coffee is good. There’s a great view across Sanilhac and the vineyards.
