Maison Vierthaler en bas

After a day of being active, especially if you’re into mountain biking, a dip in the cool Ardèche River is a great idea. We were lucky to spend two weeks here with friends. The accommodation is wonderful and has everything you could wish for, including a terrace overlooking the vineyards opposite. Its somewhat secluded location gives it that typical French small village charm, with winding streets and lots of pétanque players. The owner was easy to communicate with and shared some helpful tips. We had a wonderful vacation and hope to repeat it this year.

The terrace looking out over the valley vineyards was our favorite part. We spent some wonderful evenings there, enjoying the French art of living. We’ve now stayed twice at the spacious "Maison Vierthaler" with friends because we enjoyed our first holiday so much. It’s beautifully furnished, full of thoughtful touches, and has every comfort for a relaxing break. There’s plenty to explore around Sanilhac, from medieval villages and winding streets to French food, the banks of the Ardèche, and all sorts of sports. We felt very comfortable both times and are already trying to find a date for our next stay.

Sunshine, a sweeping view, and picking figs made this a perfect autumn escape. The grounds are landscaped with real care, and the whole place is a peaceful haven. It had everything we needed to recharge!

Communication with the landlady was straightforward, and the houses were well equipped and tastefully furnished. The setting is quiet, with a very beautiful view over the valley.
