We could walk to restaurants, and downtown was about 15-20 minutes away on foot, so it was easy to get around. Our first room was dark, dated, and had some awkward angles. The host was very friendly and helped us move to a brighter, sunnier room, which we appreciated. Keep in mind that the bathroom and toilet are shared, which might not suit everyone.

We booked a family suite with two bedrooms through booking.com, but the owner gave us just one double room. When I raised it, the owner said booking.com had made an error. Later, booking.com spoke to the owner, who claimed we were in the family suite. We received no refund from booking.com. The hotel also supplied a travel cot with a very thick mattress that didn’t fit properly and felt unsafe. My baby’s head slipped into the gap.

The hostess had useful suggestions for day trips, and the place made a lovely base for them. We were very comfortable in our cozy room under the eaves, which had its own bathroom and everything we needed. A delightful stay and a lovely hostess. Warm regards from Marianne & Andreas.

Breakfast was delicious and beautifully presented, and parking on the property was handy. We had two rooms and a bathroom on the first floor of a charming little house with a garden. The welcome was warm, and the vintage decor was lovingly put together, with fresh flowers. The small bathroom was practical and well equipped with towels and a hairdryer; there was also a little fridge and kettle. The furniture felt a bit dated, and the bed and door handles squeaked. There was some dust and a few cobwebs, too. Even with those minor issues, we felt very comfortable.

Marie was a charming hostess and gave us good ideas for places to visit nearby. The house was very quiet, and breakfast was generous, with lots of choices, which is rare enough to mention. We had an excellent stay and highly recommend it.
