Maison Amets

We had a lovely stay, and the owner greeted us warmly. Our spacious, clean room had a large bathroom and a little terrace with a table and chairs for meals. It also came with a refrigerator, microwave and kitchenware, including cups, cutlery and plates. The view of La Rhune mountain is magnificent. Breakfast was adequate, though I’d have liked more local things such as cherry jam, cakes or Basque galettes. We were missing shower gel for both body and hair. It’s a very pleasant base for discovering this beautiful area. Thank you for the smile.

The room was spacious and clean, with a big bathroom and a small terrace outside. We liked being so close to the mountains, and it was easy to get to the surrounding villages from here. Our host welcomed us with warmth and smiles, and gave us excellent tips about the area. Thank you.

We were very comfortable here for our two nights in March. The host was welcoming but discreet, and breakfast was plentiful. Both the room and the kitchen living area were spotless. We also had a lovely view of La Rhune mountain.

We enjoyed trying a chambres d'hôtes, which was new for us. You get a room with its own bathroom, and the owner made breakfast for everyone in the kitchen each morning, which we shared with the other guests. Rosario was very attentive to everyone’s comfort. There’s no daily room cleaning or towel change, since this isn’t a hotel, but that’s how this kind of place works.
