Le Patio

The courtyard is a lovely spot to sit and relax with a glass of wine, and the rooms are comfortable. Le Patio sits across from the Loire River and below Chateau de Saumur. Our host was kind and helpful, with good advice about wine and food. Street parking out front is free. Just note that the rooms are reached by stairs.

We'd be very happy to stay at Le Patio again if we return to Saumur. Breakfast was included and great, and we enjoyed having a drink in the courtyard in the evening. The owners were fantastic, helpful, and accommodating. We had the blue room, which was spacious, comfortable, and full of character. It was getting cooler outside, but the room was well heated. It's a charming historic building, and I'd highly recommend it.

There are five rooms and four apartments at this lovely B&B in central Saumur, and the owners made us feel very welcome. Our blue room was spacious, with lovely furniture that suited the age of the building. The inner courtyard has tables and chairs, plus a resident parrot. Breakfast was fresh, tasty, and plentiful. Highly recommended.

Our rustic room had beams and uneven floors, but it was very comfortable, and we could see the chateau from the window. The hotel is beautifully traditional and French, right on the waterfront and only a couple of minutes' walk from town center. Breakfast was a good continental spread, and the staff were friendly and helpful. We'd definitely come back.
