The cleaner said at checkout he would speak to the owner about a refund, but I never heard anything. The place had no smoke alarms, and the landlord never responded when I reported there was no hot water for two days. We weren't met by the landlord, there was no computer as advertised, and the garden was chained off. A cot was provided for a five year old. Dirty laundry was left in the bathroom, sockets were hanging out of the walls, and the bathroom and bedroom lights didn't work. The TV was unusable because the remote had no batteries, and without a bath plug we couldn't use the bath. The shower curtain was too small, its bracket only suited a child or someone three feet tall, and the bath mat slipped when stepped on. The dishwasher left things dirty, all the plates were chipped, and we got just one toilet roll for three people for seven days. There was noise from upstairs at all hours.

The apartment has plenty of space and is quite nice, with a well-equipped kitchen, air conditioning and a small radiator in the bedroom. The building is fairly old, though the apartment seems to have been renovated recently. Cleaning was the big problem during our stay: there was someone's dirty underwear under the bed, dust everywhere, dirty floors, and a grimy fridge, microwave and washing machine. With a proper deep clean, including the air conditioner and its filter, this could be a very nice apartment.

The metro is just a five-minute walk away, so getting into town was easy. The apartment itself was lovely, peaceful and cozy, with what we needed for cooking and doing laundry.
