Hotel Pelican

The beach and the town of Schoelcher are right nearby, and getting a bus to Fort de France is easy. We had a wonderful week here. The place was immaculate, the rooms clean and comfortable, and the pool was really nice. The staff were lovely, especially Jimmy at the front desk and the Colombian woman who brought meals to our room. I’d stay again in a heartbeat.

We loved the outdoor kitchen in each room, it was well equipped and made cooking and eating there really enjoyable. The service was wonderful too, the team made us feel like kings and queens. We began in the smallest room, overlooking the parking lot. The area was quiet and green, and since the parking is private, there wasn’t much traffic. After that, we spent a few more days in their best room, la suite, with direct pool access, a sea view and a living room. We loved the whole experience from start to finish. No wonder the hotel is so highly rated.

The hotel sits right on the beach, with lovely sunset views, and there’s a large enclosed parking area. All the staff were friendly, helpful and welcoming. We spent 10 days at the Pelikan and loved it. The spacious rooms were clean, fresh and nicely decorated, with wonderfully comfortable beds. They have air conditioning, plus tilting windows so you can adjust the temperature easily. Each balcony is roomy and has a large awning for shade, as well as a full kitchenette with utensils, cooking plate, sink, microwave and fridge freezer. Laundry is free for guests staying longer. You can choose from a range of breakfasts when you arrive, then have one delivered to your room at the time you choose. Reception also sells a selection of very tasty evening meals. I can’t recommend this hotel enough.
