We missed our stay at Les Humanitas because our car broke down abroad, a serious problem that was well documented and completely outside our control. Even after we explained what happened, the hotel showed no empathy and didn't offer a chance to reschedule. The experience was very disappointing. In an emergency, hospitality should mean more than strict policies, but that human understanding was entirely absent. I'd tell travelers, especially those driving a long way, to think carefully before staying here.

The rest of the hotel was pretty good, with convenient, clean rooms and so on. But the shower wasn't clean, and there was black mold in the bathroom, which isn't something you'd normally expect to see in a BW.

A decent hotel for a short stay, with friendly staff, good service, and useful amenities.

The restaurant was my main criticism. It's extremely expensive, the menu is very limited, and the food was only OK for the prices. They should have more options, like pasta or burgers. We stayed overnight because it was convenient for our route, but I wish I'd checked the menu first. The hotel itself is lovely, the staff are excellent and friendly, and breakfast was great.

The beds, breakfast, and shower were all good. We didn't eat at the restaurant or use the other facilities, so I can't judge those. For us, the location was convenient when driving to and from Italy.
