The three cats made us feel right at home, and the comfortable rooms, generous breakfast, and fantastic dinner were all lovely. Julie and David are such welcoming hosts, too. This has been our favourite stop on the GR65 so far. You can get breakfast earlier, but waiting until the bakery opens at 8 for fresh bread and pastries is worth it. It’s a nice reason to start the morning later. Tusen takk❤️

The food was the highlight for me: honestly, the best dinner and breakfast I’ve had in a long time. It was all homemade, with natural, organic products from the town. The three lovely cats were friendly, too. Our room was comfortable and clean, and the care we received was delightful. Everything felt just right. I’d definitely recommend this place to travellers looking for a lovely house and warm hospitality.

There are walks in every direction from the b&b, including some great Geocaching trails. We’d highly recommend those. Julie and David are also part of the local community, and some of the food they serve comes from friendly villagers nearby. If you’re walking the chemin de compostelle, they’ll give you a stamp for your book, too. The meal was delicious, with homemade foccacia bread and tender, succulent chilli, and breakfast had plenty of options. Julie and David were accommodating with our difficult special dietary requirements, and nothing seemed too much trouble. We were welcomed warmly and shown to a lovely, luxurious room. The bed was especially comfortable. It’s an old post office in the quaint village of Senergues, with thoughtful details throughout, from artisan soap in the ensuite to delicate rose handles on the furniture and incredible art. The wardrobe even reminded me of the doorway to Narnia. Their three cats, Jasper, Molly, and Freddie, aren’t allowed in guest rooms, but watching them comically come and go from the building was wonderful entertainment. Julie and David were fabulous hosts. We had such a wonderful break and would highly recommend staying here. We’ll be back, thank you.

It was lovely meeting David and Julie. They were so kind and helpful. My son really enjoyed himself and wants to come back to make jam with Julie and look after the chickens 🐓 Breakfast was fresh, with local products.

The owners, Julie and David, have such friendly, charming characters, and staying at L’Ancien Post made for a special experience. It’s a beautifully restored house in the iconic town of Sénergues. We’ll definitely come back!
