The charming building and its setting were the one bright spot, as long as you can put up with the large windows that have no glazing and don't shut properly. Half my group and I had no hot water in the bathroom, and reception was empty even in the morning. Staff insisted on full payment before handing over the keys, despite a deposit already having been paid. The reception was unpleasant and inflexible about arrival times. That included being told someone would give us the keys at 6:30 PM rather than 6:00 PM, not just late arrivals. This place really doesn't suit several colleagues staying here on a business trip.

The air compressor outside was a real problem. It started up every 15 minutes and made a terrible racket, so opening the window meant choosing between the heat and the noise. Breakfast was meant to be ready from 7:00 a.m., but nothing was prepared when I got there. I only stayed one night. The welcome was warm, and the hotel has plenty of charm, with high ceilings and an original, creaky wooden staircase that's still unfinished. The rooms could use an update. Paint was peeling, and the mattress felt very firm and quite old. Those are my few complaints.

We celebrated our wedding here on June 17th, and the team did a lot to help make the day a success. My wife and I found the venue magnificent, peaceful, and full of charm. A lovely place to get married, so don't hesitate if you're looking for a wedding venue.

We really appreciated how quiet the location was. The welcome was very warm, and the rooms were clean and well equipped. I recommend it.
