We were incredibly stressed when unexpected problems meant we couldn’t travel to Paris, with about $3,000 tied up in the booking. Karima Boudene took charge personally and did everything she could to make sure we got the money refunded. Her help made a huge difference, and we’re very grateful. She’s professional and has real integrity. The hotel is lucky to have people like her, and we highly recommend it for both the service and the people who care for guests.

We used the place as an affordable base for visiting central Paris. The bus links up with the metro and trains into the city, so it works well for that. Our room was large and we slept well. It was great, with a private bathroom and our own kitchenette, though not every apartment has those.

The location and service were fine for a simple place, and I have no complaints about those. But I booked a double room with a private bathroom and found it had a shower and sink, but no WC. We had to leave the room, go down a floor to a very cramped shared toilet with no sink, then come back up to wash our hands in our room. That was so uncomfortable, especially as I was on my period. We woke at 3 am and drove home. Never again.

The shared bathroom was one floor down and very small. Still, this was a lovely pension, with a beautiful common area, a small but welcoming bedroom, and lovely staff.
