Novotel Paris Pont De Sevres

The front desk staff were very helpful and did their best to accommodate what we needed during our stay. The bed was comfortable, and the room had a small bar fridge and TV, but the shower was cramped and there wasn’t much hot water. The room itself badly needed work: its carpet was heavily stained and the couch was old and marked. Downstairs, the foyer and breakfast area looked beautifully and recently renovated, but that care hadn’t reached the guest rooms. We added a few nights after our tour, though looking back, for what we paid we could have stayed nearer central Paris and had a better room. The common areas are inviting and the staff were accommodating, but the rooms are outdated and need significant renovation to meet modern expectations.

The people were friendly, service was good, and both the beds and rooms were fine. My family and I had a very nice stay.

The breakfast got crowded in the mornings, and the food selection was limited and exactly the same each day. My room looked as if nothing had changed since the ‘90s: very outdated furniture, no slippers, and no bottle of water. You could get water from a machine by the elevators if you brought your own bottle. I was very unpleasantly surprised by this 4-stars hotel. The Google photos didn’t match what I saw, though perhaps some rooms have been renovated and others haven’t.

Breakfast was sufficient, and the hotel was alright for eating and drinking, with a few catering options nearby. The place felt neglected and needed maintenance, and it smelled of sewers. The toilet and bathroom were separate but both too narrow, with no toilet brush. It’s close to the subway station, though the walk there was a bit rough. Try the butter and bread.
