The cocktails were lovely, but one waitress took issue with us standing and talking in the area with the tables. It seemed like a public space, and there was plenty of room, yet she told us we couldn’t stand there because she was serving nearby tables. It was unnecessary and the attitude was really poor. Think twice if you expect friendly service.

Chef Michel, Souz Chef Emilion and Bar Manager Jan made all 24 of us feel so welcome at our family meal celebrating our daughter’s wedding. The food was delicious, and the build-up to the firework cake was something else. They couldn’t have done more for us. Thank you, it was wonderful!

The meals were tasty and reasonably priced, but one of the table staff had very poor manners and let the others down. Service was slow and disorganized, with some of us getting our food while the rest had to wait much longer.

The food was mediocre, some dishes weren’t quite as described on the menu, and the place felt inhospitable and unfriendly. We waited 40 minutes from arriving to getting our meals, with no acknowledgment or apology for the delay. When we brought it up, the waitress denied it had been 40 minutes and both she and the manager argued with our account of what happened. We had two 2-year-olds with us, so we were very aware of the time. The manager then walked away. A dreadful experience.

The staff were great, the food was great, and it’s a nice family-friendly hotel. We used Souillac as a base for part of our holiday, and the location worked really well. Management were flexible about a few arrangements. There’s a fan in every room.
