Hôtel Belle Vue

The staff were super friendly and spoke a little English, which really helped. Our rooms were very clean and otherwise good, with plenty of space, though the double mattress was very old and had dips from years of use. We had a family room with one fan or cooling unit. Breakfast was excellent and they catered for a dairy-free diet, with pastries and cakes, mini crepes, fresh bread, fruit salad, yogurt, apple pots, meats, a delicious cheese selection, hot beans, scrambled eggs, sausages, and tea, coffee and juices. The location is great, the pool is nice and there's a small play area. It's a basic hotel with friendly staff, but the pool was locked in the early evening even though it was really hot.

Our family room was very spacious, and the hotel is conveniently situated right across from the railway station. What really stood out was the owners' warm welcome and how clean everything was. Bravo to this hardworking, earnest couple for taking on a big old hotel and putting in the money, time and effort to bring it back to life. We'd happily stay again.

We keep returning to this hotel while travelling because the welcome is so warm and the service is excellent. It's also perfectly placed for day trips. The rooms are spacious and very clean, breakfast is delicious, and there's free parking on site. We enjoy the refreshing pool and the little play area for kids too.

The pool is great and so is the location, and the staff were trying, but the place has a worn-out, dated feel and needs a major investment. The rooms smell damp and moldy, and breakfast was mediocre, with hard baguettes and dirty cutlery. It was tolerable for a stopover, but badly in need of renovation.
